About the Book

A memoir by Mahita Vas, Praying to the Goddess of Mercy charts the author’s journey from chaos to stability. It offers insights into an illness for which there is no known cause, no cure and no immunity. It will inspire and enlighten people with mental disorders and the loved ones who suffer with them. Ultimately, it is about being true to oneself and having the courage to take charge in the pursuit of happiness.

About the Publisher – Phil Tatham

Originally from England, Phil completed a degree in Southeast Asia Studies, majoring in Indonesian literature, before relocating to Southeast Asia where he has worked in publishing for over fifteen years. He established Monsoon Books in 2004 and is on a mission to find new talent and put publishing in Asia at the heart of the literary world.

About the author – Mahita Vas

Mahita Vas was born and raised in Singapore. She struggled with manic highs and depressive lows until she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at the age of forty-one. After nearly 30 years of working in advertising and the hospitality industry in Singapore with global industry leaders such as Singapore Airlines, Ogilvy & Mather and Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, Mahita moved to Bali in 2010 where she owned and managed Villa Juno, the island’s first luxury hosted Bed & Breakfast. Her memoir Praying To The Goddess Of Mercy is her first book.
